Marathon running is often considered the ultimate test of physical endurance

If you are fit enough to run marathons, then there is no question that your body is in good shape, as regular marathon running can really put every muscle you have through its paces, which can help to develop a fantastic physique that many people would love to have.
Marathon running is often considered the ultimate test of physical endurance, with your body having to cope with the stresses of long distance running, learning to not only be ready for such a feat but to also increase the stamina and strength that your body presents long term.

An ultramarathon (also called ultra distance or ultra running) is like a marathon in most respects, but it is generally longer than the traditional length of 42km. As you can imagine, to be able to take part in ultra running you need to be not only physically very fit, but be able to handle endurance running, because you will need to draw on every physical ounce of strength that you can whilst running these pressing events.
Some races can last hours and hours which is really a massive test of endurance, after all, they don’t call this ultra running for nothing!

The Cotswold Way is a 102-mile footpath

If you are familiar with the Cotswolds then you will know just how beautiful this area is, with history and landscapes that you will never, ever tire of, boasting some of England’s finest scenery and countryside.
The Cotswold Way is a 102-mile footpath, running along the edge of the Cotswold Hills and since 2007, it has been a National Trail and many new rights of way have been created due to this. If you can imagine one of the most scenic and stunning footpaths in the world, going through deep hills and fantastic scenery, then you are only just beginning to think how good the Cotswold Way really is.
The footpath starts in Bath and runs through to Chipping Camden, going through another 12 or 13 places of interest, including Dursley, Stroud and Cheltenham, which means if you have a few days to spare you could pack up your backpack and go on a 100 mile walk, calling in to some of the lovely, historic and quaint towns and villages that you will see along the way.
Even if you don’t want to do the full walk, you simply must head up to this footpath just to take in some of the sights, because you will really be able to take in views that are just impossible elsewhere.
